The mutual interest in political cooperation in Kazakhstan and Russia, including in the area of regional security, is conducive to the intensification of the study of contemporary Kazakh-Russian relations and security issues in Central Asia. At the same time, although Kazakhstan's cooperation with Russia in the area of regional security has been addressed in a number of works, it has not yet been the subject of a special study until now. The focus of the research is often on subjects related to specific aspects of the problem.
