This book compares metaheuristic solution methods applied to the distribution problem of UA-FLP unequal area facilities with fixed dimensions. Four variations of genetic algorithms, two simulated annealing algorithms and one evolutionary metaheuristic inspired by the Ebola virus were applied. The metaheuristic methods allowed to obtain good quality solutions in reasonable times.
