The objective of this paper on the UP of Moguéré is to determine the impact of pastoral units on food security in the Ferlo. The aim was to conduct a study linking natural resource management and food security in the UP of Moguéré. Our study showed that the natural resources of the Moguéré pastoral unit are being degraded due to natural phenomena and the activities of the population. The implementation of the management plan of the UP of Moguéré has a positive impact on the area covering the UP.The food situation of the UP is marked by food insecurity due to the low agricultural production of 2018 and low household incomes. Livestock farming, the main activity of the households surveyed, is facing difficulties related to the degradation of resources.
