Human trafficking is an act no nation would want to tolerate considering its pathetic consequences, it has attained such an imaginable height that it was even ranked the second most profitable business in the world. Hence. the need for international, regional and national cooperation cannot be overemphasized. However, in an attempt to eradicate this social vices certain laws were put in place at various level of governance, each of these laws the researcher herein considered in its entirety and also the various ways, types and causes of human trafficking alongside its effect on the nation, victims and their families.The researcher considered human rights existence, human trafficking as a violation of such human rights as well as the remedies available to the victims, which court have jurisdiction to entertain such matter? These and a lot more the author answered in the course of this research.Owing to the wide scope of this topic and its technicalities, the researcher adopted the doctrinal approach by consulting the legal doctrines on textbooks, journal, dictionaries among others.
