Ada Lovelace
Daughter of Lord Byron, Ada Lovelace was a child prodigy. Brilliant at maths, she read numbers like most people read words. She worked with the scientist Charles Babbage on his "Thinking Machine", a collaboration which would eventually lead to the invention of the computer.
