Europe a poem (dt/engl), based on the RUHR.2010 exhibition of the same name, is simultaneously a collection of poems by outstanding contemporary leading poets from every single EU country, and also a source book of European poetry which students and poetry lovers all over the world can use as a starting point for their own exploration of contemporary poetry. The poems are presented in a facsimile handwritten signed version by each poet, along with an English and a German translation, biographical and bibliographical details. Introductory texts are in both English and German. It is simultaneously a collection of poems by 27 outstanding contemporary European poets - one from each EU country - and an introductory source book of current European poetry for students and poetry lovers.
