This is the first book, of a project of four, about the female pantheon of Yoruba mythology. The following issues will be covered in this volume: how to be the hero of your story, the various types of narrative (the parable, the fable, the fairy tale, the mythical narrative), myth and science, and an overview of this mythology. The collection deals specifically with the following goddesses: Oxum, Yansã, Yemanjá, Nanã, Obá, Euá and the Mi Oxorongá, I am fully aware that there are many other goddesses, however, for the structure of this project these seven encompass the two basic ideas of this collection: the one that read in a certain way their adventures, as in other mythologies, present an arc of transcendence, of growth both of their personality and a teaching for those who read them, the other idea is that Oxum's journey from gallant love to constructive love makes us understand ours.
