During their 40-year career Bernd and Hilla Becher created an invaluable photographic encyclopedia of industrial structures. In ihrer 40-jährigen Arbeit haben sich Bernd und Hilla Becher (1931-2007/1934-2015) immer wieder auf dieselben Motive - Fördertürme, Hochöfen, Gasbehälter, Wassertürme ... - konzentriert und dabei eine heute unschätzbare photographische Enzyklopädie industrieller Bauten erstellt.
