The woman as a ferment of poeticity in post-Nigerian writing

Nibonténin Ephraïm Benjamin SORO
The poets of Negritude have particularly glorified the black woman. And if the verses in her honor appeared only in bits and pieces, since the 2000s, in Côte d'Ivoire in particular, collections entirely devoted to love are emerging. In the new era, there is a clear contrast between the lover and the mother: the first, muse of poets, embodies physical beauty and opens the doors to an eroticism increasingly accentuated, while the second, modest and discreet, remains the guarantor of morality and virtues. However, beyond the praise and criticism of women, the poets of post-noir reflect on the nature of the poet and denounce the failings of society. Above all, they elevate and value Africa, through the display of its natural and cultural riches.
