History of the Hungarian language

Hungarian is a Finno-Ugric language with some 14 million speakers predominantly in Europe, and it is also present in North America as an immigrant language. The language is typologically agglutinative: it uses affixes- before the root word (stem) called prefixes, and after it, called suffixes, to determine the meaning, function and logical position of morphemes.
