This study aims to present the digital portfolio as a substitute for the paper portfolio. The initial problem relates to the difficulties that juries encounter when evaluating the competences of trainee teachers based on the portfolio in paper format. Thus, the digital portfolio can present an effective alternative to carry out this kind of evaluation in an objective way. Similarly, it can be of great value in developing teachers' reflective skills, which leads to an improvement in the quality of their performance.
