DOGOTHERAPY AND STUDENTS DIAGNOSED WITH ASD

Inmaculada Sánchez, Ana Teresa Moreno, Isabel Baena
The document shows a detailed research about the different methods of working with animals in the educational field. More specifically, it addresses dogotherapy as the main methodology, and students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD, DSM-V, 20013), obtaining as a result a series of unknowns that, as researchers, led us to consider the suitability, or not, of the aforementioned methodology. After a systematic and exhaustive review, we felt the need to offer the scientific community a valid, reliable and easy to use tool, in order to avoid death by experimentation, for which we designed and validated a questionnaire (DOGO-TEA), which we present as an appendix. For the creation and implementation of the instrument proposed in this study, we have carried out, following authors such as Rabal, Guirao and Martínez (2020), two major phases: the first phase revolved around the construction of the items of the rubric itself and, subsequently, a phase led by an expert analysis and validation of the information collection instrument by them.
