Introduction: Colorectal cancer by its frequency and severity represents a major health problem in the world. It can develop from precancerous lesions or low to high grade adenomas. Delta-catenin has recently been identified as one of the factors involved in the initiation, promotion and progression of colorectal cancer. Objectives of the work: Our objectives were to evaluate the expression of delta-catenin in low-grade and high-grade adenomas and in colorectal carcinomas and to study the histopronostic factors and the evolution of patients according to the level of expression of delta-catenin by immunohistochemistry. Materials and methods: The anti-delta-catenin antibody is tested, using the immunohistochemistry technique, on 3 groups of 7 patients, selected according to the type of the lesion, collected within the Anatomy department and Pathological cytology of the Salah Azaiz Institute over a period of 16 years (2002-2018). Results: Our results showed that the labeling of tumor cells and the intensity of the labeling were low in low-grade adenomas, moderate in high grade and more intense adenomas.
