This text traces the careers of the film exhibitors and officials Guillermo Pérez Gavilán Mendarózqueta and Celestino Díaz González, based on a series of interviews with their respective sons, Juan Fernando Pérez Gavilán and José Díaz Rodríguez, as well as the search of data in bibliographic and hemerographic files. By a mixture of chance and necessity, the trajectories of both had moments of intertwining and coincidence in Mexico.
