There is a plurality of uses of French in the African francophone space. The African literary text constitutes a "receptacle" of linguistic varieties that can be the responsibility of the grammatical norm of French, of endogenous realities, of the writer's style... "Le jeu de l'amour et de la haine"(Ch. M. Mbazoo, 2013: 21-60) fits into this framework. The author makes varied use of the coordinator "And", between grammaticality and linguistic creativity. This contribution inventories the linguistic use of this coordinative ligament in order to determine the cultural and/or artistic "myth" of the short story writer.
