Argentina and Chile:

Sonia Tanus, Carina Lacey, Nicolas Wild
The book deals with the problems that arose in the year 2020 when the laws, approved unanimously in Congress, which give the legal framework to what was done by the Argentine Republic before the CONVEMAR and which has the approval of this Convention, the extension of the outer limit of the continental shelf. There have been demonstrations of rejection by the Chilean Foreign Ministry, some academics and digital media that place Argentina in the place of the expansionist Other. There is a brief overview of the history of the border delimitation between Argentina and Chile and how the problematic issues have been resolved until reaching the current controversy. The examination from the perspective of communication introduces the reader to the influence of social networks in international relations, the relationship between governments and peoples and the construction of media and political agendas and the configuration of national identities and regional constructions. It also deals with regional issues from the perspective of citizen diplomacy as a tool.
