Water is one of the key resources on our planet and the expected dramatic increase in world population up to 2025 is considered to place many of the world's communities at or near their natural level of water availability. Agricultural wastewater use helps to conserve and expand available water supplies and can contribute toward more integrated management of water resources. Yet if not planned, managed, and implemented properly, it is associated with several risks, including public health, agronomic and environmental risks. In recent years, water shortage and environmental hazards of wastewater have promoted the development of filtration apparatus for the treatment and reuse of wastewater for agricultural crop production. Therefore, the use of barley washed-out extract/ wastewater as a supplemental source of irrigation is inevitable for increased agricultural production and productivity.
