HEAD TRAUMA PARTICULARITIES IN CHILDREN

Kamel Bouaita, Lynda Atroune
Head trauma is a frequent cause of mortality and morbidity in infants and children. The pediatric age is particularly fragile because of anatomical and physiological particularities, and the fact that it is a being in the making. The causes of cranial trauma in children are multiple and vary according to age. In infants, the problem of trauma is dominated by the question of abuse.Childhood head trauma is not very important in absolute terms, but it is very important if the long-term consequences are taken into account because of the sequelae and the consequences Socio-economic consequences that they entail. The reduction of the global mortality of CT can only be achieved: on the one hand, through the implementation of primary prevention programs; and on the other hand, through the prevention of the deterioration of patients with minor and moderate CT.
